        I want a basement Sign In/Join

I have a question that I really hope to find some answers about. We have a manufactured home (big mistake!) and want to put a basement under it. Does anyone have any tips/ideas on how to find someone to do this, or what it might cost? We have so much work that needs to be done around here, and this is one thing that would be a huge help to us.

You're looking for a contractor or a full-service excavator. If you do not know any, check with your local code department or any real lumberyard.

Once you find a pro, let them help you decide if it's even worth it to do this.

mild addition: this is not a trivial project, and it will not have a trivial price. depending on the size of the house, the cost ranges from a bmw 5-series to a bentley.

if you have rock underneath the house, not dirt, the cost rises near that of building an Air Force base.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?

take a look at styrafoam blocks
they go togather like a lego set.
and you pour concrete inside of them, and spray tar
on the outside for water proofing
cheaper than traditional forming, easier too
