I have a one car garage door that has the bottom section starting to look very bad. It has about a 1/4" piece of wood like material on the exterior of the door. Has anyone ever replace a section of a garage door? If so, what did you use?

Or would we be better off trying to find a new section from the manufacturer?

Any of your input would be appreciated.

On the inside of the door there's small 1/4 round holding in the panels (most of the time)cut along te paint lines and pop out the 1/4 round. Most likly your going to break them as your trying to get them out because there so thin.
If you do a test one and there is 1/4 round then go prebuy some 1/4 round and some 1/4" thick lauon and have it cut to size were you buy it on a panel saw for a better cut. Preprime all of it two coats on all sides and prepaint all of it with a quality paint.
