I am trying to learn how to paint over a brick wall that has been painted with masonry paint. I will be painting a buisiness logo, and need it to withstand the weather since it is an outside wall. Any help would be appriciated.
Check with a pro paint store for the best answer, and explain what you are doing. Weather conditions in your area can also be a factor on the type of paint used. If this is to be a long term, business sign, I would think they may want you to prime the area under where you put the logo? And of course use a good exterior paint that they recommend. If you have multiple colors in the logo, and take in some little capped bottles, (like from medication), they may give you some squirts of universal tints. This way you can mix up smaller amounts of the needed colors to paint over the primer. May get you by with just one quart of base paint?
any pro signshop can do this work - we used 1shot which is lead-bas'd but may've been altered over the years,,, n glantz was our supplier when in that biz
