It is a bear to get rid of gasoline smell especially when it soaks into a fabric like a trunk liner. Your best bet would be to remove the liner and try to get it steam cleaned. Also, thoroughly wash the trunk pan to remove any residual gas. If you can't get the gas smell out of the liner, you might need to replace it.

Gasoline has an oily base, so using a Hot water extraction cleaner with some type of Grease Removal cleaner should help a lot. If you can remove the carpet to clean it, like joecercone suggested, that would be what i would also do.
If not, then you will need to just let it air dry as much as possible. I have read that strong scented Kitty Litter can also help with absorbing any residual odor, or just making it smell better till it dries out completely.
