have pool deck covered in chattanoogie colored stone. after 15 yrs. stones are coming up, making it hard to walk on. Is there any product to cover this stuff aside from chipping it all up? There is concrete underneath it.
Anything that is already loose has to be removed. If it's all coming up than at least it will be an easier chore to get all the bad out of there so you can do something different. If it's only small areas, consider making spot repairs with the original material.
One of the mistakes that many people make in planning a deck for their above ground pool is that they do not consider how they will use the deck in future years. While something whimsical may seem like a good idea now, trying to navigate a latticework pattern will be difficult as you age. Putting a built-in bar on the deck, which is a growing trend, also can be fun while you are young but dangerous for small children. Think about designing a deck that can last for decades, rather than just a few short years.
