        If anyone has a natural gas BBQ grill, CHECK YOUR LINES or what happened to me could happen to you.

        Check your gas lines!

        Fortunately I'm okay but I have zero skills at doing any kind of this work and lack the funds to hire someone to re-do this.

        Time for me to get my learning hat on!

        gotta love that raw black pipe. it's iron. iron rusts. since concrete holds water and is alkali, you can bet it's going to rust faster going through the slab like that.

        boom.

        IMPHO a pro should have used a coated line, the slick poly gas line they run to the house now, or put a plastic sleeve over whatever metal line before the concrete was poured. regardless, you will need to have a professional plumber run the correct new gas line out there, or switch to propane tanks.
