I make yard art for different holidays. I use 3/4" plywood. I currently use a primer/sealer on the wood prior to painting it. After it has been painted I was using water based exterior Varathan to seal the wood to protect it against the elements. I have run out of the Varathan and have not been able to find another product to replace it with at a reasonable cost. The Varathan was roughly $50 a gallon. I have check Home Depot, Lowes, and Sherman Williams. No one carries anything for exterior wood. Minwax makes a product called "Helmsman" but I can not find anyone that carries this product either. I need something that dries clear. It can be water or oil base. Any suggestions?

Might want to add where you live to your post since people here could be from anyplace on the planet, better yet add it to your profile so people do not have to keep asking. I know all my Local box store even my little local hardware store stocks it.
