I have a vinyl liner inground pool. Somewhere there is a leak on one of the PVC lines; either from the skimmers to the pump or from the filter back to the pool. What is the best way to pinpoint the leak so I don't tear up the whole concrete apron looking for it? Thanks for all your thoughts.
Put some dye in the system and run it enough to get it comeing out, then stop it...(Pour enough in there to get a good indication), then, look around when its turned off and see if its leaking, OR, put a plug in the outflows and see where the thing starts coming out in a steady stream from the pressure of the pump if its on the discharge side, and if its not, and you can get to the pump and hoses, then turn it around and try to plug the influent up and put the presure that way, to see if you can spot a steady stream or drips...
