I am replacing gutters this weekend and want to know if fascia board and gutter apron in good shape can I leave it and do I need to patch holes from old gutter nails?????

It's a good idea to fill the old holes to avoid future rot in those areas but as long as the existing facia is sound you can install the new gutter to it.
