Outdoor Tilted Lamp Posts. Need advice to make straight.
My mom purchased about 6 outdoor lamp posts from Lowes and had a contractor come and install them roughly 2 years ago. I believe ever since the installation the lamps where never vertically straight and It is not because of the cemented bases where the post goes in. The base was done right and is balanced. The problem lies within the lamp posts it-self.

The Lamp post has two halves. the bottom half is securely bolted in the base where the top half is loosely connected to the bottom half. the material of the lamp posts seem to be made of some graphite plastic.

Can anyone help me figure out a way to straighten the lamps.

Any chance you can link to the Lowe's site or take a pic?

hack fix: drive a couple stakes in the ground (like 4 feet of 1x2 with points cut on the ends), dig around the bases, pull/push the post vertical as low as you can reach, tie the posts off with ropes to the stakes, and then fill in around the base, stomp the dirt down, water it, and repeat. leave it sit for a couple days, and remove the stakes and ropes. it might stay right over the years, it might not. the posts, not being metal, are going to be easily dented from too much muscle, so watch it. DO NOT DIG on the wiring side, you'll cut the wires.

proper fix: redo the job. use a post level or tape two 3-foot levels to the post to get them right, stake off with 3 or 4 ropes and stakes when they're right, and pour new bases from sack mix. yes, this means probably tossing what you have. the posts should be sunk at least a foot and the concrete at least that deep around them.

Frodo is onto something with his reply. Most modern fencing systems already have that as part of the set up. Maybe the light post does as well.

Popeye only reached for the Spinach can as a last resort...
