Installed a cedar plank and river rock patio using this Pinterest picture. Leveled it with paver base and sand. It's gorgeous, but needs something to fill in the cracks between planks. Can I use a polymeric sand on wood? Any other products or techniques to keep it from shifting after big rains or lots of foot traffic? Thanks!
I doubt you could put anything between the blocks to keep them from shifting if they are on an unstable base. If they shift anything your pour between the cracks is going to give way.
Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.
My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Thank You Andrew for Hijacking this post. What would we do without a little "Spam" for breakfast.
