I want to replace an outdoor deck. I have read mixed reviews on composite versus wood. Any experience or suggestions.

Composite is a far better product for a deck surface compared to wood. No maintenance, no cracking, can be installed with simple hidden fasteners, no splinters ..... all in all an "install it and forget it" product. Down-side is the price, currently slightly over twice the material cost. There are many different brands of composite decking. Some look more real than others - worthwhile to shop around and see what you like. Jaybee
