I put in a paver walkway about two years ago and the weeds between the stones are getting really bad. The pavers are spaced about an inch apart and the gaps are filled with pea gravel. I should have set them in concrete but it was my first walkway and I was a little nervous about messing it up. Anyhow, now I am stuck. I am thinking about cleaning out the gaps and sweeping concrete into the gaps and then misting it until it is wet enough to set. Will this work? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!
Good dose of roundup will kill the weeds.... I am guessing that you did not put down a weed block barrier as your first layer....You could clean the cracks, sweep in cement and mist, but that is a lot of work. I would give the roundup a shot.....
You won't know if you can do something if you don't try.
Cement should never be used between pavers or set them it it. It will just crack over time with freeze thaw cycles. Pea stone also was a poor choise. I'd suck them out with a shop vac. Pea stone is just that, round. It can not lock in and stay put. Stone dust works far better. Round up will kill the weeds but they will soon be back if you use it. Use any total vegatation killer so it will last a full year.This message has been edited. Last edited by: joecaption,

If it were me I would remove the pea gravel and use a Polemeric sand made for large joints such as a product from Alliance Products that I think is called Gator Dust. It can do joints up to like 4".
