I recently painted our garage floor with an epoxy paint. My husband had the idea to put Thompson's Concrete Waterseal over top of the epoxy paint after i finished. (yes i did tell him it wouldn't work and that the epoxy serves the same purpose) Long story short, the waterseal won't dry and we can't park in our garage because the floor is sticky. I need to know how to remove the waterseal and the epoxy paint and what can i use to do so??? HELP!?!?!

I would contact the company that made the paint first, before doing anything.

i'll bet your epoxy coating came from an apron store & is wtr-based while the hubbie's coating's solvent,,, never works,,, as joe suggests, call both suppliers & ask for tech support,,, 1 of the dangers of separate suppliers is INCOMPATIBILITY!!! i'll further bet neither will wish to become involved w/ea blaming the other/you.

failing that, rent a 7" grinder w/diamond turbo cup wheel & remove it all,,, we install these floors but never use apron store mtls,,, usually we'll install a urethane topcoat to protect the epoxies, too.
