How to hide drainage under driveway
We have a drainage ditch that empties into our pond. It is also a road to the back of our property. It is a hazard in the dark plus I oiled like to spruce it up some way, such as a gateway or entry. Something that would let people know to be careful when walking across, not to get so close to the edge. Last year during our 4th of July party, at dusk we started out fireworks show and in the dark you could not see where the edges were. I have tried solar lights which are ok but not too pretty.
Can anyone help?

I'm a little bit unclear on exactly what exists on your property, especially the relationship to the drainage ditch and the road. Could you clarify? Do you have any photos of the hazardous areas?

Is the drainage ditch actually on your property? Same with the road? Is it a private road? Are there easements for either/or both of these? How long and wide of an area is involved?

If the ditch is dangerous, I'm thinking a fence might be the safest thing, but it also could be a hazard for someone walking into it unless it's lit up.

I assume this is so far away from the house that there are no electrical connections?

There are some very attractive solar lights in garden designs, and reasonably cheap. Perhaps some of these might appeal to you:

National Wildlife Federation also has a few:

And here:

(I'm partial to the lighthouses but they are quite expensive)
