Joe, Dabney posted a "helpful" link at the HGTV Gardening board offering insight on how to move a garden shed.
He's got to be one of the most obtuse spammers going. He must be having a blast in his parents basement!

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.
My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I'm thinking for Spammer HQ, what ya wanna do is cut some foot-square openings in the building right near the bottom. run a high-grade logging chain through there. hook it to the hitch on a heavy-duty pickup, wind up the engine, and drop the clutch.
for the rest of us, assuming it's not a metal or plastic building that the wind will move, shovel out under the corners, jack it up with bottle jacks, put dollies under the corners, let down the jacks, and with the promise of beers and pizza (or BBQ) later, get a bunch of guys to push it.

Actually for just about any shed a 4x4x12' lever will lift any corner. Easy enough to lift it to slide PVC rollers under to move around a yard. Not much harder to lift and block it enough to drive a flatbed trailer under it.

Sparky617, did you notice that in the second post he actually uses proper grammar, as opposed to the somewhat broken English in the how to move post?
I think you're right. These spammers are a bunch of kids, maybe dropouts, who sit around doing stupid things all day long instead of being productive. I'm sure Gallnt (sic) Knight was one. He/she sure wasn't a senior citizen as represented.

I guess Dabney couldn't make any money from suggesting how to move storage sheds (I couldn't find his original post on moving sheds - maybe it was deleted). Now he's back on HGTV advising how to anchor a shed.
This is actually getting funny. This message has been edited. Last edited by: GardenSprite,

the only reason I'm going to chase a spammer around is with cats under the arms of a big fuzzy sweater... to zap their computer.
NetNanny probably won't let the poor fool type any other "s" words. so he/she/it is rattling on about sheds.

Swschrad, I hope there is no misunderstanding...I wasn't suggesting anyone chase Dabney from forum to forum. I only intended to share what I thought was a situation that's becoming somewhat ridiculous, and to provide advance notice that he's changed from moving sheds to anchoring them. Maybe his next topic will be how to paint them.
Maybe shed is the only word he knows how to Google so that's why his posts are on sheds.

I have to wonder what the purpose of his helpful posts are though. He's not even providing links to generate traffic at a site.

GS, I'm not on your case. we just have somebody who thinks they're an agile spammer.
that's like a starter sledgehammer, or a thrifty yacht. or an episode of Renovation Realities that is as smooth and oiled as a Holmes show.
