kit homes from the 1920's through the 1940's
I believe this old house is a kit/prefab type home yet there are no identifying marks of any kind on any studs or floor joists... nothing to ID if it was a Sears, Montgomery Ward or any other. I've searched Aladdin and others too- several seem close but no cigar.
Anyone know how to ID a kit house with no markings? Does no markings mean it IS a certain kit?
Thanks in advance for any clues

Why not just post a picture on here and someone might just know who made it?

Dover Publishing has several books on kits homes. I've only seen excerpts which typically feature frontal views and floor layouts, but it's possible there may be other information that could help identify your house.

http://doverpublications.ecomm...0homes%2C%201920s%27 - list of books on kit homes (with a few nonrelated books listed as well).

See "Contacting Dover" (http://store.doverpublications.com/customerservice.html)

to get in touch with them and get more information on the books. I've ordered from them for years, and have occasionally inquired about music scores and always had good response.
