I have two bookcases that are withing an inch of the ceiling on the carpet. Can I just move them to the far side of the room, lay the flooring on 2/3 of the room and move them back before finishing the room? Is there any problem with doing this. I don't want to risk gouging the ceiling by tipping them if it is not necessary. Thanks Monica
You can put the bookcase on the installed part of the floor then move them when the floor is finished. When I did my home office, I did that with my desk - I just removed the drawers, etc to make it easier to move. I bought the felt floor protectors and put them on the corners so I wouldn't scratch the flooring if I had to move the desk.

Wow! That is exactly the plan. I'm adding lights too at the same time. I didn't add the crown before because I knew I was changing the floor. Thanks Monica
