I looked into replacing my interior doors in my home but the quote was $2,000 for 5 doors. I was searching Home Depot's site and found a product called EZ Door which looks like a much cheaper solution to upgrade my doors and I could do it myself to save on labor costs. Does anyone have experience with this product?

No experience with it, but looks like it could be an easy DIY project if you have smooth doors in decent shape.

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.

My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I wanted to get back to everyone after my original posting. I did go ahead and purchase the EZ-Door product from homedepot.com and it was very easy to install. My doors look great and I saved a lot of money not having to replace the doors. I would recommend this product to anyone who has flat doors. See photo attached.

Is this a coating or some type of wrap that installs over the doors? Does it require adhesive or is there adhesive on the back of the product?

looks like a skin kit. looks good. I would not put one over a hollow-core door after I saw how fast and how hot they went up when I tossed mine in the fire pit. over a solid-core door, assuming they are not plastic, OK.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?

It came as a kit with 2 molded plastic frames with no frame assembly needed. The kit includes adhesive to install the frames on the door. It also includes a template to position the frames so there is no measuring involved. It Even includes caulk. It was quick and easy to install and just had to paint the door.
