What is the latex paint doing? Is it peeling, cracking or doing other annoying things? If it hasn't begun do do anything how about giving it some time to begin before trying to get it off? My vote is to begin a hard job when it's needed.

Be quiet about it. Get a new job and hide the truth so you dont get blamed. Or get a new job and talk about how stupid they did things on the last job. Why burn yourself for that idiot. Or stay on your old job and blast the painter for being an idiot and how you cant believe it. Cover your ass.

Why not ask the pros. http://www.sherwin-williams.com/pro/problem/problems/Latex gets painted over old oil based paint all the time. The trouble is most likly coming from any paint going over enamel without deglossing or at least sanding to give the paint some "tooth" to hang on to.
