Mission style house in AZ. We have a 2200 sq.ft. house with a mix of carpeting and ceramic tile floors. Everything is on a concrete slab (no sub floors). (Pix attached, colors are off a bit, should be able to tell what's carpet and what's tile.) Eventually we want to replace all the carpet; however, first we want to change one of the smaller, carpeted bedrooms into an office. We think a wood floor would allow for better rolling chair mobility. Are there general style guidelines for mixing and matching floor types?

Basicly the only "style guideline" is do you like it. Everyone is going to have an opinion regarding what they like and dislike. Wood is a good choice for and office. I think it will work well.

You won't know if you can do something if you don't try.
