        I have a low sloping pitched roofed on my house. I want to add a ridge vent which would add to the curb appeal. I was thinking of constructing a full roof length (50') small (20" high)venting cupola. Has anyone seen such a structure and are there any downsides? Many thanks!

        I can not imagine that adding to curb appeal.
        A simple ridge vent would look a whole lot better.

        Agreed. A shallow pitch roof would look strange with any type of ridge vent that draws attention to it. Just go with a good plastic ridge vent that has matching shingles on top - it will almost disappear. not to mention being lots easier to install and cost much less.

        Useing double gable louver vents in a low slope roof. Because there is only a small rise in the attic, using two vents on opposite sides of the gable encourages proper air circulation. A louver vent installs at the very top of each gable and looks like a small setout in the siding.
