I am looking for a welder to do small jobs.Something that runs on 110
If you are just getting in to it, then check out HarborFreight in your area. You can get a basic unit for $100.
If you are ok with stick welding, you can pick up a 110 buzz box for around $100. If you want a wire-feed welder, plan on spending at least $250 or $300, and that will only be good for material up to about 3/16" thick max.
A buzz box is a waste of money. If you have little skill welding, get a wire feed. Take a night class. I would reccomend a century or miller , get shielding gas solid core wire works o/k but is pretty crappy welds.
110 welders are very limited and not very easy to use. I have one and if I had to do it again, I would bite the bullet and step up to a 220 wire feed unit.
