I'm buying a house that has some wallpaper and some painted over wallpaper, not a ton but enough to get me worried. I'm giving myself about 5 days to remove wallpaper, texture, and paint.
I'm interested to see what you pros would do first? What tools and supplies I need? Steps I need to follow? Any foolproof tips?
I can't tell if the paper was applied over painted walls or directly on the drywall. I'm guessing it is directly on the drywall.
Thanks for the help
It's a total crapshoot. Could take you 5 hours, 5 days or 5 weeks. It all depends on how the walla were prepped prior to adding the wallpaper, how thick the paper is, who much glue it there, how old it is and how much paint was put on top of it. All are variables that affect how easy (or hard) it will be to remove.
If it looks like a difficult removal, then rent a steamer.
