Why is everything so difficult! I got new hing mounted door stops. Now where the hing is hitting the molding around the doors....the molding is denting and cracking where the hing hits them!
This is a few months after we had the entire interior of the house painted! So we get to re-patch and repaint the holes!
Is it so impossible to get a door stop that doesn't make holes in either the door, the wall, or the molding? Why do they make molding or doors so cheap? The doors and molding were in the house when we bought it over 8 years ago and it is an older house.
I specifically tried to get better quality hings after the paint job!
We are "normal" smallish people. we don't go around slamming open the doors?
PS I meant to say "I tried to get better quality hing mounted door stops".....not "better quality hings."
Hollow-core Masonite doors and MDF casing. Just fairly weak products that are popular because they cost less and are easy to paint.
But, both are a lot weaker than the extreme leverage that you can get on an hinge-mounted doorstop.
