Folks, I have now gotten response e-mails from Scripps on 2 particularly obnoxious posters I've reported. It took some time, and there are still issues to be addressed, but at least my concerns were acknowledged.

For some reason this link sometimes opens in a drastically reduced screen size. You could also try clicking on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the screen, under the "About" section.
Be patient; it takes awhile for them to respond.
Update: A spam postER about whom I complained this morning is already gone.

Thanks, but in thinking it over, I think it was the fact that several of us began reporting the spammers pretty much at the same time. Some P'M'ed me to let me know they were complaining as well.
So I didn't do it alone.
