Alot of people are complaining about this product. A few people praise it.

I think in life most people will complain about something that praise it.

Nevertheless, for our education did you follow the instructions to a T?

Did you acclamate the product in the install area for 24-48 hours?

Was it too warm when you installed?

Did you roll with a 100# roller?

I would like to help the community out with your answers, this way we can all learn from this experience.

Actually it is recommended that you roll the floor after installation. One of the fixes for peaked floor areas is a 100 pound roller which of course you have to rent from you know who.

I never mentioned a steam roller.

Excess heat is suppose to make matters worse such as people you say to use a hairdryer during installation.

the manufactures instructions don't say a word about rolling it,ia english or spanish.
i figure if they wanted it rolled, they would have said so.where they get you is the small print that says , no more than 1/4 inch in 40 ft
of deflection . thats impossible

Unfortunately, since I didn't buy this product, I can't really talk about the installation instructions. But I do remember over the display for allure in the orange box store is a big installation poster.

One of the steps on the poster is roll after installing.

Also...as far as the warantee goes, it is true that most of their products have standards that are nearly impossible to comply with. OR if done to their specifications, you might as well put some nice stone tile down...

Which one of the laminates are you using? The vinyl "Allure" or the wood laminate. I have installed many many many sq.ft. of Allure and not one problem in the last couple of years. And yes the instructions tell you to roll it after installation with a 100 lb. roller. Now this is the vinyl not wood so maybe there is the difference. If it's Allure Vinyl Planks you can remove a plank after heating it up with a hair dryer and relocate it again.
Personally I highly recommend the TrafficMaster Allure "Vinyl" after installing as much as I have. 99% of material failure if from improper installatio, but it sounds like you followed the instructions.

i am using the albany oak
glueless laminate flooring
sku 998-551
by traffic master
i have the instructions in my hand as we type
there is NO mention of using ANY type of roller
i will repeat this again
there is NO mention of using a ROLLER or
any type od device that can be construded as a roller.
maybe this is why the flooring is coming apart
maybe they figured out it neded a roller,
but this product sucks

Well frodo...

I was talking about the allure, the vinyl product...I guess you do NOT have this product.

I was not even aware that traffic master made pergo like flooring.

Anyways...what is the wear layer on that product?

Go back to Home Depot. Tell the salesperson you want one of TrafficMasters Representative to come by your home and take a look at the installation and tell you what's going on. If it's faulty material (wouldn't be the first time) your in your rights to demand a refund or new product with labor. They also have a Customer Contact 1(800)#. Call and file your complaint. As you know "It's the sqeeky wheel that get's oiled"

that would be great but the small print
no more of a 1/4 inch deflection in 40 ft
i will be turned down.
if it went to court i would win, because industry standerds, give more than a 1/4 inch
its sonmething like 7/16 in 10
but i hear you, i will make a phone call monday am

frodo...

I know it is too late now...but did you come across any warped planks during install?

Aparently this is an issue with this flooring product and perhaps this is the problem with the seams.

Also there are some reported issues with the click lock parts on the boards NOT being cut correctly causing problems with install.

FYI
