I'd like to build my own built-in, wall mounted gel fireplace. All the fireplaces I've seen online are wall-hung. I'd prefer it be built into the wall but it's not a must, however, I definitely want to build it myself. I couldn't find anything online. Anyone know of a link or just tell me how to do it?

I would imagine that the first step would be to determine the make, style or model that you are wanting to use. Check the clearences required by the manufacturer and build your rough opening accordingly. I doubt that you want to tackle the fireproof firebox that they utilize. Most are vented so that should be considered in your design if the unit does not have a vent installed. This message has been edited. Last edited by: redoverfarm,
