        Does anyone know how to install a baseboard on a rounded corner wall?

        Many popular trim styles are available in a flex - type material. It's expensive per foot but you usually only need a little. Check with any trim or millwork shop. The flex trim will mold itself to a round shape and fit perfectly.

        If you can't do that then you must make several small pieces. Just like a 90 degree corner takes two pieces mitered to a 45 degree angle, you can make a 4-part out of pieces mitered to 22.5 degrees, a 6-part at 15 degrees etc. This will look a little choppier but can still work.

        another possibility is to make flex baseboard from regular by cutting a series of vertical thin cuts in the back of the material. on hardwood like oak, you will likely get a lot of broken pieces. use a softwood like pine, practice, and plan on caulking the top afterwards.

        this process leaves material with no impact strength, just so you know. if you have a household in which things whack on the baseboard, like vacuum cleaners, little kids, wheelchairs... this tip is not for you.

        And, if push comes to shove, Johnsonite makes vinyl baseboard molding in 48 different colours so, if nothing else, at least you can match the colour.

        No one is going to look at a rounded corner and ask why you're using a different molding there.
