I've got a approx. 30"x5' slab of marble that's been used as an outdoor table for about 50 yrs. It looks like concrete right now. I'm trying to decide if it's worth refinishing it to use as a kitchen countertop in my kitchen remodel or if marble is just too much trouble as a countertop. Opinions on both refinishing and marble itself are welcome. Thanks.

i don't know a hoot about finishing grante[can't even spell it rite] but i do know that if you already have something and you like it.
then put that puppy to use.a chunk of marble that size, would be worth it. you would most likely have to polish the out of it.
