how do you get the ultimate crashers to cometo your house and do you pay for them to come. or do they pay for the renovations

there are two ways to get onto a DIY Network show. typical is you look near the bottom of the home page of this website for the "Be On DIY" line and click it. that shows which programs are casting. click the one you're interested in, and do what they're asking to join thousands of others in vying for 10 to 16 production slots. the crasher shows do most of their casting on the fly by dropping into home centers near the production base. occasionally one program will head to another major city and hang out there to broaden interest. if you are one of the folks sorta-preselected by the host and staff to talk to, and you interest them in your situation, you might have the host and a production crew tailing you home. I suspect there is local promotion when they're going to show up, certainly store posters, maybe other media. the Ultimate Crashers are basically all 4 shows and hosts ganging up once or twice a year to do the same thing. it is my understanding that most of the selection is based on what looks like a willing, fired-up target, and the rest is using the fanciest gimmees they can scare up, which depends on the most suitable remodelling job. the odds are not quite like those of a lightning strike, but consider it a blessing if you get picked. because if you do, while you have no control over what gets done really, it's all free in exchange for use of your show in perpetuity forever on TV.This message has been edited. Yep. They pay for everything. They get to keep their T.V. show on the air, you get parts of your house fixed for free, and the local home improvement store will get more business. Everybody wins.
