Plans for sliding bedroom and bi-fold doors
Hi All...does anyone have experience with construction of sliding and/or bi-fold doors? I gagged when I saw a local lumber yard's quote to make them so it looks like it's on me now. It "seems" like it would be pretty straight-forward, but this is uncharted territory. Looking for plans, how-to's, gotchas, etc to get me on my way. Plan is for simple wood shaker-style doors for 3 closets 1 set sliding, 2 sets bi-fold. I can provide some dimensions if this helps. Thanks in advance!

make sure you use this stuff to put it together

http://www.johnsonhardware.com/sdindex.htm

it's been in the bifold kits I've used and the best I have seen over my years as consumer, and the past 6 or so as serious DIY fixer. no sags or fails so far, and it's easy enough to understand and install.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?

I used the Johnson pocket door kit already. Very good instructions and easy to install. I've already looked these up. Thanks!
