On your new show Million Dollar Contractor Stephen Fanuka called his crew for a quick meeting. He ask for everyone to come see him and one comment struck me as very odd. He said everyone come here "green card or not." Does this mean that "illegal" immigrants work for Mr. Fanuka and it is so acceptable that he does not even feel the need to hide this fact on a national syndicated TV show?

That is absolutely appalling. I did not see the show. AS someone who lives in Arizona - an unprotected border - I take particular offense to his comment.

I hope ICE watches the show!

Yup that is exactly what it means- both his crew and his subcontractors.

I saw the show and yes, he actually says this. As Holmes would say "completely unacceptable".
Maybe a call to ICE would give him an attitude adjustment.

More of a comment than a question:

Fanuka says he "works for some of the most powerful people in the world"
I think he's just a handyman for some rich white folks

if you're picking up temporary laborers, it's a fact of life. but then, why characterize the business as "the penthouse to the outhouse" on the basis of a single job? the two standards are not fully compatible.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?
