I always like to start this topic because it inspires me to try new things.
I just got all my photos organized......I can hardly believe it, it took forever, but now feels soooooooooo good! I want to start an album about me and one about hubby.....have had them for ages and been saving stuff aside to do them......now I am almost ready. Hubby is going deep sea fishing in Alaska for 11 days in early June and I took a weeks vacation and plan to scrap my little heart out, so am prepping for that. We have been married 8 years and this is our first night.....will be many nights.....apart, so I may be scrapping until the wee hours.....hopefully will get alot done!
Soooooooooooo..........tell me what you are working on.................... Barb

Hi Barb, good to see you on board again, I've missed you while you have been so busy. What a great opportunity you will have to scrap to your hearts content, get up when you want, go to bed when you want, eat when you want, etc. without feeling guilty that your husband isn't doing anything - sounds like he's going to enjoy himself, too.
I've been involved in so many projects right now, that at times it's hard to keep them all straight. I have been working on a fundraising luncheon and fashion show put on by our Curves and benefiting our local Relay For Life (ACS). The event took place today and I'm home taking it easy for now. It was a wonderful success.
But, in relationship to scrapping, I am working on an album of our recent trip to New Orleans and our cruise to Mexico. I have so many pictures that I want to include, it's taking me awhile. But, I am having so much fun doing this album because it's so great to get all the details down while they are fresh and I can relive things before I forget.
Also, I have been participating in the challenges that jesskcarl has been posting for us and did the rolodex challenge that Aymee ran. For all of you who read this, but haven't been doing the challenges, I urge you to give them a try. You won't believe how much fun it is! It causes me to think outside the box and try new techniques, etc. each month.
And, I am just finishing up hosting a page kit swap (ends on Saturday). The page kits that these ladies have put together and sent to me are fantastic! I wish you could all see them.
Looking forward to hearing what everyone else is doing!

I'm finishing up my pharmacy schooling - I graduate with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May so I'm getting ready for graduation and my licensing exam. I'm working on making two purses, have the fabric for at least two more (oh wait, three more ). I am also working on a jeep quilt for DH. I am working on the rolodex challenge that Aymee posted (which is alot of fun). I'm also going to a 2 day crop next weekend so I'm trying to think out pages in my head so I can fly through pages (which totally won't happen - I'm super slow). I'm also on a workout / better eating plan - DH and I bet the tax rebate so I'm trying to win to spend the rebate on quilting and sb-ing stuff. Wish me luck and fewer cravings for my beloved ice cream!!

I am a bit stalled at the moment. Now that the weather has become milder my attentions turn to my gardening. Hopefully this gardening season I will get some stellar photos of some of the flowers so I can scrapbook them later and enjoy my garden year round.

I have three albums I am working on at the moment.
Almost finished with one. I have two paper bag albums going also. AND I have coffee filters layer aside to start a coffee filter album for a shower gift. Busy Busy Busy.
Don't just stand there, SCRAP something! You can’t find peace, Until you find all the pieces.

Hey Barb! It's great to see you on here too! I too have been busy! I am working on the pagemap challenge as of right now, but I've been doing some other challenges on here, altering some letters, still organizing my little scrap space, and trying to keep up with the boards. Not too much, right? LOL! Oh, you are going to have so much fun!! I know you will scrap your heart out! Maybe, you can join some of us other late nite owls on the boards! I hope your hubby has a fantastic trip. You will have to scrap that too so we can see! And your albums for the 2 of you sound so nice! Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Have a fab weekend!
You can take the belle out of the south, but you can't take the south out of the belle!
Thanks for sharing your projects Ladies......it really inspired me. I have an album I am doing about me.......and I sat yesterday after church program and put most all of the pages together and just need to add journaling and pictures. I have all the pictures sorted.......yipeeeeeeee, so I had an idea on each page which one I will use.....now I am anxious to start on the one for my hubby.
I'm working on a little mini-tag album for my MIl--some pics of a little get together we had at her church a few weekends ago--with me & my daughter, and my sil and her daughter--so MIL had her two grandgirls there. Little luncheon/fashion show, and we did a little impromptu photo shoot (mostly of the girls-mine is 2 & niece is 10 months). Cute stuff. Using an old kit I'd gotten, and it's kind of fun to have all the coordinating stuff together.
Hubby & you album sounds great. I made an ABC album for mine on our 5th anniversary when it was still just the two of us. I liked that format-gave me options to do stuff about each one of us individually and stuff we've done together in the past, etc.
Wish you could post when you're done!
Good to see you, and fun to see what everyone is up to!

I am excited, I just finished 4 albums in a series and now can add the pictures and they will be done. I had so much fun. I just want to scrap all the time.....I go through these stages....but my kids program at church won't run itself....so here I am at work
At this time I am reorganizing my scrap room. I just finished painting the walls and moved all my scrapbooking stuff back into a smaller room and out of the big family room. Now I am ready to start putting some pictures into albums and get off the card making for awhile.
I've done pretty good I've gotten 30 pages done since like Feb 15th. At first I didn't think I was going to get any time to scrap! I've been making some cards with my cuttlebug last week. I've made some flowers for the flower swap. I've never done this before I hope they are right! Got to send them this week!
Everyone was talking about organizing their room... well I went in and started and found something else I wanted to do. SO... no organizing here! That's ok the room has a door! .

You are right TLC.... Thank goodness for doors. I organize and 10 min. later it looks like a tornado hit. I have come to the conclusion I am never going to stay organized when it comes to scrapping. I have to admit, I have perhaps made a 10% improvment. Maybe when I reach 80 I'll be close to a 100%. (Because I'll be to old to move anything. ha.ha..) I have a friend that scraps in her closet and I mean a small walkin closet. It is never in a mess. Talk about organized... She knows exactly what she needs and that is all she takes out and then everything is put back in its place when she's done. Thats what you call forsight. I just don't have that. oh, well.. guess we can't have everything.
Hey Ashley,my dad is a pharmacist,,hes 75 and still workss at it,,(part time now though) and has written 4 books on pharmacy thingys..its a great proffession to go into,,Congrats!

After coming home from AZ, am now just about finished cleaning the scrap area. We are getting ready to start going up to the lake for a couple weeks only fish up there. I converted my cousin into a scrap booker, had bought her a album for her cats and she called and said, "guess what I bought a cricut". We had a week long swarm with her new Cricut and my old Cricut. We had such a good time. She finished her Hawaii trip and I worked on some pages for my personal book. Two weeks later we got together again at Jefferson, WI and shopped Madison,WI for, what else, scrap book stuff.

He worked for a pharmacy for probably 30 years then retired ...the first time,,,then the store was closing and the pharmacist that was there that replaced him,,,lets say wasnt a honest man,,,LOL..so my dad went back to work to just finish up things till it finally closed. He went back to work again fulltime at a different pharmacy chain,,then wanted to go parttime,,so retired again because they didnt have a ot opening....so now he went to work for a company part time that mainly fills prescriptions for nursinghomes,,he checks the dr.s orders and then checks the patients order to make sure they are correct...he said if it was a full time job he would go cross eyed! LOL Hes 75 yrs old.. and persues his hobbies(antigue bikes) everyday! So Im sure your plans to scrap full time will work out too! The more I scrap... the more I want,,LOL

Message for Sugamom: Just in case you read this section again.... I just got home a month ago now from Arizona too. We spend the winter down there. What part do you go to? We have a scrapbook group that meets each week.
Thanks for sharing ladies. Since I posted this and come back and read it I have been inspired to get busy...it's a good thing
Yesterday I spent as much of my day off as I could making cards............made about 30. One thing I did that I really liked.......I ran a wide lace glittery ribbon through my zyron and use it on the front of some wedding cards....I love it....looked especially nice with one that I put a wedding dress jolees demensional sticker on.
If I could ever sit down and learn to post I could show you Have a great day! Barb
