I must be way BACK "country" I did not know people could have this. I have been in the hospital this past week. DR. thought I had pneumonia again. I had a small mass in my right lung. But after doing a scope they found I had a fungus, does that not sound "yuk". Sounds like I forgot to wash. Anyway, they took some out and are going to test it. Just wondering if I'm the only person from here to the moon that did not know this.

Actually, Shirley, when I was recently in the hospital for colitis, they found nodules on my lungs, which is interesting. Three people in my SS class also have nodules. None of us have symptoms. My doctor is doing a C scan again in three months to see if there's an increase, but for now he's just watching for symptoms. One of the SS members thought we might have fungus because we were in a SS room with a leaky roof for a month, and we actually caught the water in a small wading pool. It became the joke of other classes, and each week someone would add something to the pool, like a rubber ducky or a toy fish. Now, maybe it's not so funny. The first member to have the diagnosis just got the results of her fungus test back yesterday, and it was negative. With all the rain we're getting it's surprising we're not all sick with fungus. I don't think it's that unusual. The good news is that it's treatable! Hope yours is gone quickly. Feel better.

Ladies, I hope you both get rid of these problems soon. I can't say that I have heard of anyone having lung fungus but hey, anything is possible today given the amount of chemicals that float in our water air and dirt. Scary stuff.

I was actually watching mystery diagnosis today with my dh, he likes to watch to see how many diseases he has and there was a woman on there that had this exact thing. Come to find out her pipes had gotten a leak during the winter and it made some wierd hairy fungus growing on her pipes and she had to move out of her house until all pipes were cleaned and changed out and then they had to go through the whole house to make sure there were no mold spores anywhere. Wierd that I just saw this today.

Well, we could put some creativity to it, how about making a scrap page on lungs, I mean putting all those medical experiences to one page and turning it out beautiful, we could certainly email a copy of that to companies and turn it into an ad. (now that's a bit of monetizing but ...)
Hey this is just to make you all smile to make that fungus go away Smile

Hi Arlangab. Just read your post. We can all use some comic relief from time to time, so thanks for taking time to bring us some fun. Just had another MRI, and nothing has changed, which is good news. In the meantime, someone else in our class got the same diagnosis of nodules on the lung. None of us has tested positive for fungus. I've never been a smoker so I haven't worried about this. I'll wait 'til there's something to worry about, but honestly, I've become pretty immune to health scares. Hope to see you post again, Arlangab.

Well, laughter works..mine is gone, for now. My Doc does not know what started mine so my part of the lo would go like this..

Picture this (anyone watch Golden Grils and MA says this) oh well back to lo) Lay on table and let the dr poke around on tummy, then say open wide (the mouth), get a dose of meds and stay in bed for two days.

        OK next lady...
