Along with my regular stuff, I am trying to learn a bit about making cards. I have never made too many, just a few a while back and i'm working on some of those. also, my daughter had a cat that she had for 17 years and the cat died a couple of weeks ago. She also had two other cats. She remarried (long story) and doesn't live where the other two cats live (she did come back and was there when her cat died). I am making her an 8x8 book with pictures of her cats that we had taken. I already had the book (bought on clearance at wm) and when they clearanced out the cat stickers, i bought a bunch of them. So i can make the book and it will cost very little to do it.She will be so excited to get it. She misses her kitty very much. Anyway, that's what i am doing now.
I'm back working on our vacation scrapbook - have finished New Orleans, the cruise and Cozumel. I've only got about 39 more pictures of Merida, Yucatan and Progreso left. This album is huge! I've added more page protectors so many times, I've lost count. But, the memories are wonderful. I have only dedicated an album to one thing before - my parents wedding and anniversaries. They have been married 62 years, so there have been and continue to be many pictures to scrap!

Me & my Theme Albums....I make one for each daughter from birth up. every year around their birthdays.. Just a year or so per book, sometimes months. It's always such a challenge, cause some of those earlier pictures are so very bad, messy, lousy. I try and fix them up and reshoot, copy them the best I can, but I don't leave a one out.
With a bit of relief, I am done scrapping all of our Feb. vacation pictures! What a thick album! But, now I can get on to other things, like our camping trip and boating jaunts and birthdays...all have been sitting there waiting for me.

I'm working on scrapbooks for my twin grandsons who turned one year old in May. They're not identical, so I'm going to make each book completely different. I want both of them to have their own scrapbooks.

Pam... that sound wonderful! Are you posting some pictures?? I'm doing a vacation and need some inspiration! Any one else?
Trish- Love the idea about their own books they will need it later on. They have different personalities so different is good.
Well I have good news! I've found a group (all though small) of local ladies that have started to scrap every Thursday night. Last night was my second time getting with them. Halling my stuff is a challenge . Having the interaction is a good thing...my family doesn't like to hear me talk about sbing. I have found that I'm not getting very much done. But than again I might not even be sbing if at home. I haven't gotten much scanned and posted lately I'll post what I've done and maybe you all will have some ideas for me.

Thanks for sharing ladies......I am home having some medical issues and you all just cheered me up and inspired me to work on a new mini album.....thank you, I needed a lift. Can't do anything physical......so scrapping is perfect!!
Have fun with the group Clindra.....just the inspiration is worth the get to gether I think. We use to have one at the church and I would love to find enough scrappers to do it again.
Barb, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hope your physical problems are soon gone.
I'm also really struggling right now. I'm having problems with my stomach and the diviticulitis that I was hospitalized for a week with at the end of last year, and it has flaired up again and I'm in so much pain I am afraid of what is going on. I'm also running a temp of above 100 which is a lot for me and the surgeon said that I needed to get back to the hospital ASAP if that happened - with no insurance though, it's a tough decision to go. Sure wish I could get my disability approved.
Sorry, didn't mean to whine, but I'll pray for you if you pray for me.

Sugamom - Thanks for putting me on your prayer list. I just covet everyones prayers for me this week. I'm trying to get ready for my new grandbaby's shower Sunday, and am really haveing a hart time - my diverticulitis has flaired up and I've been running a fever, and just feel rough.
If you ever have a question about the computer about something you need to do, you are welcome to email me and I'm more than happy to try to help you. Don't wait till your class if you want to do something. OK
I love how people are here for me and I can really relate to the surgery you are having. If I had insurance, think I would check into it also. When are you scheduled for surgery?

would you please take the time to give me a response. i want to know what is the big deal with cutten out stuff and pasting it in a book. didn't ya'll do that back in grade school.i dont see it. i am trying to understand. don't treat me like a creep, weirdo, vampire person. when ya'll splain to me, what the attraction is. i will go back to home improvement. learn me so i can broaden my brain
frodo - not sure why you would think we would treat you like a weirdo, vampire person, etc., but here is my explanation on what I do.
1. I love preserving memories and I love creating; therefore, if I can make a page that does both of these things, then I feel I have accomplished something.
2. As I am disabled, it has become my passion and I guess you should say addiction. But, I think that someday this addiction will be important to my children and grandchildren.
Just as you apparently do home improvement, you have to be creative in your area of expertise, and we love to be creative in something that appeals to us.
Does that help?

frodo: That is great that you do home improvement. Wish that was my calling but it's not. As for cutting stuff out and putting it in a book, I don't look at it as "STUFF". I guess each and everyone of us have our own interpretation of the word "stuff". I have children and grandchildren and when they come to visit, they just love to open up the picture albums I have of them and look back on all the events, It is a joy to hear them say, "Oh, I remember that place, wasn't it fun, wish we could do that again", etc.etc.. It is also fun to decorate the pages to give them a little more of an artisic look and a bit of history. They cherish all that information now, so I am sure when I am gone, their children and grandchildren are going to look back on it all and really appreciate all the work that went into these books or albums too. Perhaps you will have those that don't take that much of an interest and that's ok. It will be there for those that do. It's also a hobby and one that you must enjoy in order to do it. There is a lot of work and time spent on these projects and if it's not something you like to do, then by all means don't start. It sounds like your interest is in home improvement and that is wonderful. I am sure many people envy you and what you can do in that field. Hope this helps you understand that cutting out stuff and putting it in a book involoves much more meaning to us that do it. Thank you for a great guestion.
i got it . i guess i did not understand, in fact i guess i do a little scrappen my self.i keep a book of pictures of jobs that i have done. same thing god bless frodo
