I come here hoping to see some action. But, there is none. I see some of you on other boards and wonder why you can't come here as well, but, again....I tried to get it going with a swap and that was a flop..swap,flop, get it Smile Myself and Me did Wink. Anyway...I would do a RAK, but I don't have addresses (man, look at all the s's and e's in that word), Myself.HUSH!) Anyway...I really like this board, even tho we only have around 5 or 6 ladies here, I'm afraid we will lose this board if we don't come here daily like we do on other boards.

I thought about a stash swap, divide your left over/not used "stuff" amoung the number of players and swap it. I thought about a Secret Sister swap, but we have no "sisters". Bingo.. no players. Any kind of simple swaps, but, we have no players. Come on ladies, let's get this board going..on three..hut, hut, HUT.... Big Grin

        Shirley,
I have been absent due to health problems. I can't sit at the computer, and I don't have a laptop. Today is a good day, but I know that I'm gonna pay for sitting here. I've pretty much been in constant pain since the beginning of Sept. Seems like the only thing I do anymore is go to Dr. appts. Frown I can't babysit or even scrapbook Mad I do miss the camaraderie, hopefully the Lord will heal me soon (It can't be too soon either!) Take Care! and if I can't get back on line, Merry Christmas To All!

Hi Kathie, I'm just glad to hear from you. I have a hard time staying on the laptop, after a while I get a head ache and I have to get off. My family wants me to do facebook and twitter but thats a no-go. Most of my scrapbooking is done without the computer.

I really hope you get better so you may enjoy the holiday season. And a Merry Christmas to you.

Hi Kathie! I stopped or slowed down coming here because of not enough people to talk to. That has been for at least a year but I think more like 2 or 3 years. I have trouble sometimes with my internet or power staying on as we are out in the mountains, but will try to be here more frequently. I am in several groups online but have found more flakers or rude people seem to out number the good people.

Sorry I should have said, not here but other places.

Kathie, I've been thinking about you. I understand what it's like to be in constant pain, not only in dealing with the pain but the fatigue that seems to go with it. I'm praying for you. We all know the Lord is our healer, so with prayers and your faith, your healing will happen, but in God's time.

Shirley, I do need to check in more often. I miss you all. This has been a challenging year for us with my husband's injury and forced retirement. I'm trying to get used to having him around all the time and his need for constant care. That, and taking care of my 85-year-old father and two ill sisters have kept me hopping. I love hearing what you are all doing, so I will treat myself to more visits.

        Marsha

Happy to be in God's service.

Hi crafdragon (I don't know you name) and Marsha, just glad to say hi to ya'll. I know about "life happens". My brother, who is my rock to go to, past away last week and we laid him to rest a week ago today. I guess I just wanted to get in contact with you ladies, we all have shared our lives with each other we seem like sisters here. I have gone to Start A Scrapbook board, they don't swap a lot but they are on every day someetimes just to talk and share ideas. I see a few ladies that were here go there. So anyway..Me, Myself and I just got lonely for all you sisters, so we hope everything is good in your lives.

Shirley, I'm so sorry about your brother's death. How are you doing? I know you have a lot of pain, and I'm hoping your doctors found something to help with that.

Thank you Marsha, it's hard to deal with during the holidays but everyone agrees that Ray wants us to celebrate as if he were here.

Popping in to Say Hi! I also have tried to make a go here... and still stop in but get tired of talking to my self! lol Glad everyone is here and hope all the health issues get taken care of this year!

I usually only have a few minutes to get on a computer and then do my e-mails... With our business we have moved and bought another so my work load has doubles... so I don't get much free time like I used to... I also don't have much time to scrap!

Hope you all Have a wonderful Holiday season..! I'm loving watching Christmas movies before bed...but hate that I never finish one! lol

Well, I can tell you exactly why this board is failing. I became a member many years ago and it was a very active board and fun board to be a part of at that time. We had tons of swaps going on and lots on chatting each and every day. Then a few nasty people became part of the board and started taking some very personal potshots at many of our seasoned and talented people. Not all of us have the ability to just shrug things off and when people are attacking you and the work that you post, you become very disallusioned and heartbroken. Then the good ones, who have been criticized, leave and the nasty ones stay on to continue to rip people. Why they do it, I'm not sure - maybe looking for attention or trying to make themselves look and feel better. The the powers that be here started changing things around with the boards and stopped airing programing that was of interest to scrappers and crafters. We contacted them about the changes and it feel on deaf ears. Anyway, at that point, most of us left here and went in search of more positive boards where people interact with each other in kind ways and where the folks that maintain the sites listen to what we want and say and act accordingly. Honestly, many of us tried to resussitate this site many times and it just appears that it can't be done. DIY doesn't care if anyone is here or not and they refuse to do anything to help this board survive. I have noticed when I drop in here every six months or so that not even the nasty, negative people are here anymore. Must be they achieved what they wanted - distroyed a good board and hurt the feelings of a lot of people and then moved on to find another place to wreck havoc with. Unfortunately, I think this is not a dieing board, I think it is already dead. Trying to beat a dead horse is an exercise in futility, sorry to say. But, I wish you who stay here the best.

Hello Ladies, Shirley I am Sorry about your brother. Never an easy thing to have those close to us leave this earth. Sending a big comforting hug out to you. I don't have any family left so have nominated my Boyfriend and pets my new official family!!
I have been working on my Christmas cards and some gifts for the few people I have. I am also making some cat nip toys for our kitties. I grow my own catnip in the Summer and love to use it! I also make cat toys for a friend's kitties in GA and have such a great time creating them. Yes I am easily entertained, LOL! but I do love to craft!!! It has been snowing here all day on and off so I am excited about that and ready to have a cup of cocoa Smile
Sometimes it can be a treat to come here and see who if anybody has been here.
I hope everyone is well and warm this December night!

Pam, I'm sorry you had a bad experience here. It must have been before I came because I've met the most positive, loving women here. I think these things have a cycle, but the board is not dying as long as there are still ladies sharing the hobby we all have in common. We have lots of people checking in, but few who post. It does get discouraging when you post and have very few responses. But I'm not willing to lose the friends I've made here, so I will continue to check in and post when I can. I hope you will, too, Pam. I'd like to get to know you. I can honestly say we have only supportive, positive people here, and if we didn't I wouldn't stay.

HI Pam, I remember you from days gone by. And you are right, but I keep hoping that somehow the few that do stop in can get it going again. Wishful Thinking???!!!!
