My mom asked me to make a card for some friends of hers who are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary (I also made one for the couple's 60th). I wanted it simple but elegant. I used handmade papers so there's lots of texture and they actually have glitter in them. It's probably hard to tell in the pic but I put the front piece with the heart embellishment up on double back tape squares to give it more dimension. The cream colored frame is much softer and not as bright as it is in the pic. Believe it or not that wire heart with the beads was a thrift store find that cost me just a few cents. Smile

Thanks everyone, I hope they like it too.

Shebear,
'The Emerald City' is a nickname for Seattle. Smile

Flo, I am sitting here laughing as I have lived in WA for over 40 years and have never heard that before. I live down on the coast.

Flo, Guess I should have asked my husband. He is laughing and ask me where I have been all these years. I told him it's been just too many years of getting Portland News and hearing about the Rose City and not Seattle's Emerald City. Smile See, it goes to show we can always learn something new no matter how old we get. ha.ha...

Flo... is that a nestabilities that is under the heart?? I've just ordered some. Is there good directions that come with them. I got a set of 4. I saw some in HL that were like scalloped rings with a embossing ring... now that wouldn't make a solid one like this would it.?? It would be for like laying on top... of this -right?? I can't wait to get them in. I didn't get them because I couldn't remember what I had ordered ... need to see how much I use them... also didn't have a coupon with me.

Clarinda,

No nestabilities. Just cut a frame out with my Sizzix and layered the different papers under it. Smile
