Hiya girls! It's time to sign up for the recipe swap! I am so glad many of you are excited to join in on this recipe swap with me! I think it will be a blast!

After the poll, the majority of the vote was to 'wing it' and not have categories for this swap. So what we will do is each pick 2 recipes a piece of your choice (any type: appetizer, main dish, casserole, dessert, holiday, etc). You will then make 2 cards for each person involved in the swap. For example, if we have 10 people to sign up, you would make 20 recipe cards (10 of one kind and 10 of another). You would then mail 18 of the cards in to me and keep 2 for yourself. Essentially, this will be set up just like the recent tag swap we participated in.

-Cards need to measure 6x6 inches.
-May be decorated as simple or as ornately as you choose. We love to see all styles of scrapbooking.
-Recipes may be printed or hand written.

For a few examples of what your recipe cards could look like, refer to this link where I have posted recipe cards I have received in previous swaps:
        http://boards.diynetwork.com/e...1916776/m/5983973447

***Deadline to send these to me will be July 15th! I know some had asked for plenty of time to work on their cards, so this should give you enough time.

***When mailing your recipe cards, please include another self addressed, pre stamped envelope in order for me to send your collection of recipe cards back to you. I will send everyone who signs up a private message with my mailing address.

***I have hosted many swaps before and am a reliable hostess. I will have your collection of recipe cards back out to you asap! Smile

Any questions, feel free to ask!!! Happy Creating!

I got to go shopping yesterday ... Did't want to go so most of the trip was sb shopping! Haven't got to in a long time! I've been upset and mad and thought shopping would help ... It did! Lol.

I got some paper for this swap... I have 3 recipes picked out.. One to narrow it down to two! I usually don't have this problem!

Well, I have another question. I live in Rural America. There aren't a lot of shopping choices here. My LSS has closed. The one that was 50 miles away has also closed. We were planning a shopping trip about a 100 miles away but had to cancell that.

My question is will it be okay to make similar but not exactly the same pages? I would use papers from the same theme so they would be similar but I don't have enough to make this many pages from the same papers.

I will drop out of the swap if this is not acceptable. I will understand with no hard feelings.

Hi Family Girl. I have lots of places to sb shop, but I will not be using the exact same papers on mine. I have so much paper I need to use that I can't justify buying more. The important thing, I think, is that the recipes are all the same. BTW, our swaps are always forgiving because we are all creative people who often color outside the lines. Seeing how everyone approaches the swap is what makes it so much fun.

I got 3 pages of the same paper...I feel if I can do them the same it will save me tons of time not having to think about how to do the next! lol

I had to work all day with ds at L'ville store... well I did our statements for both stores and hurried doing them because I brought 1 recipe and everything to finish it... yea just got one done!
