Girls, give me your honest opinion. I am still learning and trying to get mine to look as good as some that I see on here and other boards. I think I def. did better this time than with the southern belle image the other day. But what do you think? Thanks girl! This is a big help to me. I go these cute little images from shaukc. I just love them. I don't do them as well as she does, but maybe soon, I can.

I know! Aren't they cute? Shaukc sent them to me. But now she made me want the stamps too! Yea, I used watercolor pencils and then blended the color in. Still working on it, but I think I get a little better each time. Just have to practice, practice, practice! And please do post when you give it a try! Would love to see what you come up with too! We can learn together!

Love your colored-in images-I've recently discovered something I think you might like to try. If you have regular colored pencils use GOO GONE to move the color. It looks great and is such fun! I also tried it with plain old Crayola Crayons and it worked with them too. You can buy the GooGone at the Dollar Stores. Hope ya'll will try it and like as much as I do! Barbara LaGrange, GA
The GooGone is probably no worse than Gamsol or Turpenoid, also used with colored pencils, but I wouldn't use it with my photos long term. For card making I think it is great.
how do you use the GooGone with the crayons? Do you color the stamp first then put the googone on? I want to try stamping, but don't even know where to start. I have some really cute stamps that I just put onto the ink pad...boring. Could I use water color paints?

I've been trying the water color pencils and everything looks just awful I tried using black ink to stamp with and brown and I just can't get it to look as good as these. What color ink did you use to stamp the image?

Will someone tell me if there's a 12-step program for scrap addicts?

Tonester!! Hey gf! Well, this was a stamped image that shaukc sent me. It looks like she used brown ink. I am still learning. Maybe we will get this down together. I have not done any more since these. I need to practice again!

To Mommyofboys, To use the GooGone with crayons, first just color the image like you would in a child's coloring book. I would use one color at a time, then just use the GooGone to smooth out the color. Works great! I've used the artist stumps that you can purchase at Michaels for the GooGone. They have a pointed tip and can be sanded to keep the point. HTHS
Southernbelle, Those are so cute... I haven't tried water colors with my stamps but I do love working with the prisma colors. They go on so smooth and clear. If I knew how to post a picture of my last card I would show you one but I don't know how to scam my card and put it on here. I also love using the H20's on my stamped pictures. Have you heard of Kohinoor woodless colored pencils? Someone said they were good also but I had never heard of them before and have no idea where to get them.
I have not heard of those. Where do you find the prisma's at? Like at M's? And if so, in what section? I would like to try these as well. I hear so many good things about them. Thanks for that info too!

You can get the prisma colored pencils at art supply places or Michaels. Save your 40% off coupon and get the big box. They are 1.49 a pencil if bought separately and I prefer the fat led over the verithin. The thin are nice for small intricate work. I don't have the large set of one hundred and some pencils but I'm over half way there by just buying the colors I need for each project. Maybe one of these days I'll cut loose and get the big tin box.
