We are looking to replace our existing exterior door. I found some places that sell composite doors and claim the wear and care is far better than traditional wood. Anyone have direct experience?
I've never heard of a composite door, but there are vinyl and Fiberglass doors. A Fiberglass door is going to not expand and contract like a wooden door and is never going to need to be painted. It can be stained thought with gel stains.

We replaced our old wooden front door with a fiberglass door about eight years ago. It looks the same today as it did when we put it in and has required no maintenance in the interim.
