        What trim? Baseboard, casing, toe kick, 1/4 round aprin?
        Are you tiling a floor, wall, ceiling. back splash, counter top?
        More info gets less questions and more ansewers.

        Any trim that comes in contact with the tile is best left off until after the tile is installed. It is possible to install tile if your trim is already in place, but it is much harder and doesn't make for as good a job. So if your trim is currently off, then it's a no-brainer to leave it off until after tile.

        Yes trim should be installed before tiling as it protects the exposed edges of your tiles from day-to-day wear and hides raw edges.
