        Can I tile over laminate Sign In/Join

        Wanted to know if I can tile over laminate or do I need to remove it? will the thinset stick to it? I only want to do it one time so I want to do it right.

        Remove the laminate. Not only are there potential problems with the tile not sticking to the laminate, if the laminate chooses to release over time, it will take the tile with it.

        Remove the laminate and install a concrete backer or Kerdi system before you tile.

        Thanks, I have a concrete slab floor. Should be able to go right on top of it.. I did my daughters house and had to knock out about a 1" hump in her floor. That was some work!!! Thanks for the reply.
