I have double sided tape stuck to my floor that I need to get up. Any ideas to help with getting it off my floor without having to dump gallons of Goo Gone on the floor or having to put carpet down. Please help.
Below are several links which offer suggestions of how to remove double back tape from your floor.
Each suggestions tools and various other substances to use to assist in removing the tape. I've found WD40 to be very good for removing the actual glue from surfaces. Depending on the amount of tape you have on the floor you will need a fair amount of spare clean cloths to wipe off the glue from the floor surface and possibly a couple of cans of WD40. Fortunately, WD40 can be bought in a gallon container and can be poured in to a plastic hand held sprayer. For this you might check out Home Depot or a TSC Store near you. The key to a successful removal of the tape will be care, persistence, time and patience. If you use WD40, once the tape is removed wash the floor with a mild soap and water and dry to remove any residual oil.
