        Hello,

I can't afford to purchase the new floor for my dining room (formerly used as a play room) my husband and I plan on putting down but I can't stand the DISGUSTING carpet any longer. It is nasty! The cat has thrown up on it. Children spills that won't come up and it is old, probably put down when the house was built in 1985 (we are the second owners).

What can I put down temporarily that is inexpensive if I pull up the floor? There is nothing underneath except the wood plank (no hardwood or anything like that). We both are newbies at this.

        Thank you SO MUCH!

a remnant carpet or vinyl section would be a good placeholder. since you have little spillers, I would go for vinyl.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?
