Besides tearing down the house, what can you do to salvage a house whose 1st story floor is slanted because there is no foundation? I'm kind of leery about going in it now because of what I saw when i tore up a section of the floorboard.
This not the psycic network.
Need more info, pictures.
Is this a house your living in, or one you drove by and your checking out?
Not able to post picture then find someone local to come take a look at it.
there could be all sorts of horribles here. short answer is unless this is a historic house and you have a grant to restore it, move away fast.
just two examples... shifting ground because of streams underground... and sagged to the ground because termites ate all the joists and skids out. not to mention, you start taking things off to try and fix what's failed, and find out that was all that was holding the place up.
lastly... if the house was built with no foundation, who's to say anything else is right about the structure?
if you needed the psychic network, why did they not call YOU first?
sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?
My gut says that it doesn't make sense to pour good money in after bad.
But, you really aren't giving enough information to really form an opinion. If no foundation, what exactly is there? Slab? Frame on dirt?
