We just finished installing laminate flooring and it butts up against a Cut Stone Fireplace. Any ideas on how to complete. There's about a 1" area from the floor to fireplace wall. Any and all suggestions welcome.

You need to leave room for the flooring to expand and contract. Is it a nail down, glue down, or floating floor? Is it a slab home, or raised foundation? You can get one of the matching trim pieces for a threshhold and scribe cut it to fit the rock formation, leaving room under it for the expansion and contraction. Or just stick it as close to the rock as you can and caulk the open holes, depending on your abilities and tools.

Little late now to go back and try to "fix" this.
This should have been planed out before hand.
The stone could have been under cut, or a custom soild wood transition strip scribed to fit.

Agree that it would have been easier to dealt with this before. However a solution might be to scribe a piece of hardwood to but up against the stone, and then router out a part of that hardwood on the bottom so that it lays over the laminate. You might even find a piece of transition that you could scribe and fit into place.
