I am in the process of installing porcelain tile in my kitchen/dinning room. I have a wood sub floor. I used Henry 555/565 self leveler however I did not use any wire mush prior to pouring it. I did use the recommended primer. I am going to use 1/2" backer board prior to installing the tiles. I did not notice the recommendations for using mesh until after I had already poured the leveler. Do I need to tear everything back up and redo my subfloor? Can I put mesh on top of what is already down and do another layer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How far out was this floor before you used the leveler?

A good 1/2" in some areas.

I don't think that not having the mesh will hurt you at all. Your leveler will be sandwiched between the subfloor and the backerboard - there is really no where for it to go even if there was a breakdown.

We've used thinset as a leveler in similar situations with no mesh and no problems.

Little late now but I would have spent my time figuring out why it was that far off and fix it under the floor not on top.
Tile is a one shot deal.

joecaption, I do not have anything down past the sub floor and self leveler. I am asking for input on where to go from here. I do not want to tear it out and restart, however if I have to then I have to. I am looking for suggestion and opinions, not criticism. I already know I did not do it correctly. That is why I am on here looking for advice. The more suggestions/opinions I get the more helpful it is obviously. Of course as most people are these days I am working on a limited budget that's why I am doing it myself instead of hiring someone. So any information I can get to do it correctly saving me from wasting more time and money is greatly appreciated.
