We have installed Heritage Cherry wood look tile planks in our kitchen. The installer did not butt the tile together because he said the tile had a bow in it, so there will be about a 1/4 inch grout line around the tile. All of the grout that we have found in the home improvement stores does not come close to matching this tile. The tile store recommended going with a dark expresso color... I would like to more closely match the color of the tile which would be cherry/chestnut color. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Go to a real tile store, you'll find about 50 different colors of grout to choose from instead of the typical dozen offered at home stores. Also consider that the grout does not need to be an exact match to the tile to look good. Jaybee

to add to jaybees reply, you can also mix different color grouts to get the color you want. but I would use the grouts from the same manufacturer

Thanks for your advice. We did go to the area tile shops and they recommended using a darker grout - a cocoa color. We tried the area under the refrigerator and that does minimize the grout lines, although not exactly the look I wanted... Installer does not want to try to custom blend a grout to match as it will require several buckets of grout that may or may not come out the same. It is a very large area including the kitchen, dining room, and breakfast nook, so I guess we will rely on the expertise of the installer and tile shop and go with the cocoa. Appreciate your input!

I think you should go with the radiant floor will ensure improved insulation and heating properties while reducing heat loss from the subfloor.Choose a grout color that is a neutral tone, and similar to the type of tile chosen. For example, if you chose a natural travertine in a tan family, choose a grout that is similar to the colors chosen. flood cleanup service Fire Damage Cleanup Chicago
