Please Help! I have ground cover in my poolyard area and I was attempting to get rid of the weeds that were growing in the ground cover by spraying (using a water hose)with Weed B Gone. As a result, my ground cover and two of hostas are dying. What, if anything, can I do to revive them?

If memory serves me, Weed B Gone is a broad leaf weed killer. Sounds like you will have to read the label to see how soon you can plant and replant what didn't make it. Frown

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Newt, thanks for your reply. It appears that some of the ground cover and the hosta made it. However, at the ground of the ground cover some of the vines are dead. I thought I heard that I can use Miracle Gro and it may revive them Are you or anyone aware of this?

Veronica, you are very welcome! I don't use synthetics like Miracle Gro that feed the plant instead of the soil that supports the plants. Feeding an already stressed plant can cause more harm. If you really feel you must fertilize I would recommend something organic such as fish emulsion mixed with seaweed or compost tea. Those will feed the soil that feeds the plants. Do you know what groundcover you have? It might prefer a lean soil and not like being fertilized.
